I was twisting fabric, bending it into shapes and forms.
Nadeem looked at my model, and asked,
"Why not let fabric be fabric?"
My whole undergraduate in a nutshell: trying too hard. But I guess that was the intension of that period of life: you are struggling and exploring of who you are going to be.
Why are these drawings so "cartoony"?
There was a huge disagreement between Nadeem and I during this project.
I felt like through every student, teacher is taking it as an opportunity to realize their own work.
Nadeem saw this project as something very neat and clean. While I wanted to go maximalist.
